Bella Sun Luci–A Review and a Giveaway

I have to say, although I’m not a huge fan of tomatoes straight off the vine, sun-dried tomatoes are one of my favorite foods.  Did you know that ounce for ounce sun dried tomatoes have 12 times the amount of Lycopene than a raw tomato?  That’s why I was so excited to be given the opportunity to try an assortment of Bella Sun Luci products from Mooney Farms.

Mooney Farms began in 1987 as a family owned kiwi farming operation.  When they added their sun-dried tomatoes to the mix, they sold out in just 4 hours!  It’s really not surprising – they only use 100% pure olive oil and truly sundried tomatoes in their products, and it shows.

I got to try an awesome assortment of their products, and they were all delicious.  The bruschetta is great mixed with pizza sauce for homemade pizza (or just use it instead of sauce!).  It adds that something special that’s hard to put your finger on.  It’s also great with crackers or some fresh bread.  No one will know you didn’t make it fresh that day!

The pesto sauce is amazing – add it to some pasta when you’re having friends over for an elegant easy meal.  It has the sundried tomatoes, olive oil, as well as cheese and pine nuts for even more flavor.  I enjoyed it with pierogies and sautéed baby bellas and spinach.

They also have bagged tomatoes, which are great for taking with you on the go since there isn’t any olive oil in them.  I enjoyed the Sun Dried Tomatoes with Zesty Peppers alone, but I also plan on making the SW Sun Dried Tomato Dip recipe that is on the back of the bag!  They would make a great pizza topper as well.  I used some of the bagged tomatoes in a Mediterranean Salad, and it was so delicious!

These tomatoes are also great mixed with cream cheese for a yummy bagel topper.  Or, you can mix them with sour cream for a quick, easy, and delicious dip!  There are so many ways to make Bella Sun Luci’s Sun Dried Tomatoes your own!  Out of ideas?  Try one of theirs!
