As you probably know, October is National Breast Cancer Awareness month. I love all of the businesses who step up during this month to raise funds for such a great cause!
Freschetta is giving up to $50,000 to the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. How? If you buy a specially-marked box (they’re pink!) of pizza between now and October 31st, head to their Proud to Support Pink website and enter the special code found on the box. For each entry, they will donate $1 to support breast cancer research, up to $50,000. You can also share your breast cancer journey there, which will be displayed on their Facebook page.
To encourage people to share the contest, they will also be giving away 50 pink iPod shuffles each WEEK! They will also be giving 50 shuffles each week to four cancer centers around America to be enjoyed by breast cancer patients during treatments.
I love that Freschetta only uses real cheeses and sauces on their pizzas – you can really taste the difference! They sent me a coupon for a free pizza, so I tried the Simply Inspired Farmers Market Veggie Pizza. It’s the only vegetarian pizza they carry that I hadn’t tried yet! It was really delicious – even Little Miss enjoyed the pieces that didn’t have any veggies on it – I was afraid she wouldn’t like the sauce, which had a rich tomato flavor. When we have frozen pizza, Freschetta is often the one we have! I like their mushroom and spinach pizza the best!
One lucky US reader will win the same kit that I got!
- A coupon to try Freschetta pizza, 12 oz or larger
- Two pairs of Freschetta Proud to Support Pink earphones (one to keep, one for a friend)
CONTEST ENDS October 16th at MIDNIGHT EST
