Jack and Holly – A Review and A Giveaway

We try not to let Little Miss watch too much television, but of course there are always cases when she does get to!  I usually limit her viewing to 30-60 minutes a day, but weeks when I’m sick (like this week), she watches a LOT more than that.  That’s when it’s great to have quality DVD’s like Jack and Holly!

Jack and Holly is produced by a husband and wife team who used research by Dr Kaoruko-Kondo to develop television programs that act as relaxation aids, making them perfect to watch before bedtime when your children are winding down.

There are currently two DVD’s out – Christmas Countdown is aimed at a younger audience of 2+  where as Cosmic Stories is aimed at the 3+ crowd.

Cosmic Stories is a seven part adventure into outer space.  I love that you can watch the whole thing or just segments.  There is even a free workbook you can download after you buy the DVD!  Scientific facts are combined with entertaining stories so your children will learn without even knowing it.  They’ll learn about the moon, what a ‘solar system’ is, and more.  And Jack and Holly are just adorable, and an alien even makes an appearance!

Jack and Holly’s Christmas Adventure is a great Christmas DVD for your children.  Little Miss loves this DVD, even though the Holidays are over.  There are ten five minute episodes that talk about snow, santa, snowmen, animals that thrive in the winter, and more!

Jack and Holly speak British English in both DVD’s, which is great for exposing your child to different dialects.

BUY IT:  You can buy Jack and Holly DVD’s at Amazon

WIN IT:  FIVE lucky readers will win a copy of Cosmic Stories!
