I admit it. Right now it’s hard to even think about worrying about the temperature of my wine. With the weather on the cool side, it’s not a huge problem. However, I know that once summer rolls around it will be a big issue for me! Here in Florida your white wine can get hot too quickly very easily. However, ice buckets can make a huge mess. Also, I often want to cool my reds down a hair, but when you put them in the refrigerator you have to guess when to take them out, and if you wait too long (or forget it about it in there) you’ll be waiting even longer for it to warm back up again!
The Corkcicle is one of those great gifts you can give the wine lover who has everything. You’ll also be asking yourself why you didn’t come up with this idea yourself! The design is simple. The Corkcicle is filled with a freezeable gel so all you have to do is throw it in the freezer to have your own personal wine temperature regulator!
For reds, simply pour a small glass and throw in the Corkcicle to cool the wine a hair before you drink the rest of it. In Florida, this will be wonderful during the summer when you want to drink some red out by the pool!
For whites, chill your wine before using it. After pouring your first glass, put the Corkcicle in and it will keep your white at a stable temperature for 45 minutes. Unlike an ice bucket, which can make your wine too chilly, this maintains the temperature of your wine. It’s also great for taking to the beach or anywhere else on the go, since it’s mess free and fairly small. Just be sure to bring a napkin so you can wipe it off when you’re finished using it and need to carry it back home!
I love the great design and ease of use. I tried it out and didn’t have any problems pouring the “wine” (I used water in a wine bottle). No dripping! Not to mention the green factor, since you can use it over and over again! I can’t wait to give it a run for its money this summer!
WIN IT: Corkcicle has graciously allowed me to give away THREE Corkcicles to my lucky readers! Each winner will receive ONE Corkcicle.
