I can already tell you what Little Miss and I will be doing this Valentine’s Day. You see, Brian will be working, so it will just be the two of us. I imagine we’ll have a special treat, like cupcakes from Oh Snap!, and then we’ll sit down to watch a classic love story – Lady and the Tramp.
I’m sure you’re all familiar with this Disney classic. I’m so excited that it is coming out on Blu-ray! Lady, a pampered cocker spaniel, finds herself falling for Tramp, a street-smart pooch with a reckless attitude. Lady remains loyal to her human family, but Tramp’s care-free attitude lands Lady in the pound. However, Tramp is able to redeem himself by saving the baby from potential harm and soon finds himself a part of this wonderful family!
When we watched this, Little Miss said her favorite part was Lady and the Tramp eating spaghetti – of course it is, it’s one of the most romantic scenes ever! The scenes with the rats were kind of scary to her, but she kept watching. The aspect ratio is 2.55:1, which keeps the picture true to the original.
I’m pretty excited about trying out the Second Screen when we Lady and the Tramp again. You can download a special app onto your iPad or computer, and when you start the Blu-ray it launches Disney Second Screen, which syncs with the movie! We couldn’t do it the first time we watched it because it wasn’t up on the Disney website yet, but we’ll definitely check it out next time.
