I admit it, the water quality in Pensacola is less than stellar. Many people use water dispensers as opposed to filtering their water it’s so bad! However, buying the refills for the dispensers can get expensive, especially when you drink as much water as I do!
Zerowater has a great pitcher that removes almost all of the contaminants from your water, leaving it tasty and free of harmful elements. They use a 5 stage dual ion exchange filter system, which rids the water of almost all of the total dissolved solids! TDS can leave an undesirable taste to your water, and can have adverse health effects as well (lead anyone?).
The pitcher comes with a TDS meter. I loved measuring the TDS of various water samples! First we tried it out on tap water, which actually wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be.
Next we tried it on the water out of the fridge, which is what we typically drink. I was shocked to discover that the filter we had recently replaced in our refrigerator did practically nothing to remove TDS!
Even the water from work, that comes in the dispenser, had a TDS of 10. So what was the TDS for the water out of the ZeroWater Pitcher? A big fat zero! The FDA requires Purified Bottled Water to achieve a TDS reading between 000-010. Typical TDS in US tap water is 240 pp/m.

I am wondering if other bloggers and/or winners have had this experience with this company because that’s just unacceptable. It is clear from a quick Google search of “Zero Water Pitcher Giveaway” that they or a representative of theirs has, in fact, sanctioned this giveaway.
