Last week was a challenging week for me at work. It was okay, though, because I chose to take on the challenge myself and I was mentally prepared for it. Sometimes, it’s good to challenge ourselves, especially if it leads to greater knowledge and even the possibility of opportunities in the future.
Why was my week challenging? I was out of town on business on Monday, then on Tuesday came back just in time to go through internal auditor training. Three full days of in-depth training, then coming with a pile of work that needed to be caught up on; it was definitely a lot! However, I learned a lot, boosted my resume, and gained a valuable skill set.
I chose to take on the challenges, and gained the benefits as a reward. When faced with challenges, you can choose to embrace them, accept them, or deal with them the best you can. Unfortunately sometimes we have no control over challenges, but when we do, sometimes it’s best to embrace the challenge and see what it brings to you!
