Make Learning How to Tell Time Fun!

Lately, Little Miss has been all about telling time. She’ll wear her little watch and ask me about every thirty seconds what time it is! So I was thrilled when I got to review Telly the Teaching Time Clock from Imagine Toys. Little Miss was so excited to have a cute pink clock for her room! The clock also doubles as a (very bright) nightlight.

The clock comes in pink and blue. There is a small digital clock that tells you the current time. There is also the clock face, which has two different modes. You can turn the hands and press a button to ask the clock what time it is (which is great for Little Miss), or there is a mode where the clock gives you a time, and you move the hands to match it. This will be great when she gets a better grasp of the clock to make sure she learns how to tell time well.

Little Miss has really enjoyed this clock. It sits by her bed, and I’ve actually heard her playing with it for a while at night when she wakes up. That’s fine, because that mean she doesn’t get out of bed! She still isn’t able to use the feature where she moves the clock hands, but it is helping her build her comprehension of clocks.

Little Miss thinks the night light is a little bright, but the good thing is that if she wakes up and is scared at night she can turn it on and it lights the room up pretty well. Then she can turn it off when she’s ready to go back to sleep.

I like the clock. The construction seems sturdy, and it’s really cute. The only feature I wish they had is that I wish there was a way to turn the hands of the clock into a normal clock at some point, for after they master telling time. Overall a great toy that I’m sure we’ll get tons of use out of – and it makes learning fun!
