Superfood Snacks–A Review and a Giveaway!

I don’t know about you, but I’m often in need of a snack to get me through between breakfast and lunch and/or lunch and dinner. However, I’d rather it be something healthy instead of just eating a bag full of chips or something! That’s why I’ve been loving these Superfood Snacks! They are made with raw cocoa, so they satisfy my sweet cravings, but they’re packed with a ton of healthy ingredients that give you an energy boost and you don’t have to feel guilty about eating!  ALL of the flavors are DELICIOUS!

These snacks were developed while the founders were on a hiking trip. They wanted something easy to take with them that would keep them going through their hike, so they mixed almost all of the ingredients that are in their original raw Chocolate Goji Treats together in a bag and brought them out into the back-country as their food supply.

Along the hike, they shared this mix with other hikers who told them how energizing it was! This was the inspiration to develop these raw energizing treats! The next step was developing a raw chocolate superfood energy snack of this quality with all the same ingredients and packaging it in a sustainable way so that out on the trail you could just bury the package and know it will compost back to the earth leaving no trace. That way it would be full circle sustainable.

Their organic raw chocolate superfood line is packaged in the very first ever-printed package that is made with NatureFlex TM non-gmo, sustainably sourced, 100% biodegradable and compostable materials.

While they were developed for hiking, they are also great for those of us who work in offices, to get through that mid-afternoon slump. Instead of having unhealthy, they source only Organic, Fair-Trade, High Quality products for their recipes.

Be sure to check them out on Facebook and twitter to find out about all of their latest offering!

One lucky US winner will WIN a sampler (One bag of all 4 flavors) and get to find out how great they all are!

CONTEST ENDS August 11th at MIDNIGHT EST

Unprocessed chocolate is a good source of many minerals as well as containing fairly high amounts of protein, so despite its fat content (which isn’t as high as you might think), it’s a healthy option for chocolate lovers. This type of chocolate contains magnesium, a nutrient which a lot of people are lacking in their diet; actually, it has been estimated that as many as 80% of Americans aren’t getting enough of this mineral.
