Bubble Fun!

One of the great things about having a toddler is all of the fun you get to have enjoying the simple things in life.  This past weekend, Little Miss got a bubble machine.  She was so excited and ready to try it out!  However, in all her excitement she dumped out all of her bubble solution!  Follow the link below for a cute bubble party video!

We’ve never tried making our own, but today was definitely the day to do it.  We needed bubbles immediately!  This recipe worked great, the bubbles were even better than what we got with the store bought stuff!

Here is all you need:

1/2 cup of dishwashing liquid (Dawn or Joy)
2 cups of water
2 teaspoons of sugar

You may have to add more water as it sits to get the consistency you want.

Whoa! I wish that I had seen this post last week. We had to replace our bubble solution and I haven’t been happy with the result. This is a keeper! Thanks!

My mother use to make bubbles for my friends and I. She never added Sugar though. What does the sugar do?

    • I’m not sure – we saw some recipes that added corn syrup, others added other thickening agents. I know bubble stuff is always sticky, so I guess it’s something like the sugar that makes it so!

How awesome that you can make your own bubble solution. Gotta love Dawn even in the commercial they are taking care of oily ducks.

This sounds like something my little grandson would love to do. I happen to have all the ingredients too.
